Practice Medical Secretary

Due to geographical relocation of an existing member of staff we are looking for a good, all round secretary looking for a new challenge.

You will have the opportunity to work in a large and progressive primary care environment, alongside our supportive and friendly team of clinicians and admin staff, within a dedicated secretarial team. Ideally you will have good all round secretarial, administration and communication skills including typing, audio typing, minute taking and document management using MS Office, bespoke and digital dictation software. Some knowledge of medical terminology is desirable but not essential. You will be a team player and be able to multi task to provide a full range of secretarial services.

The hours of work are 25 hours per week over 5 days . If required you will be able to top up the hours with other admin duties to a maximum of full time (37 hours) if required.

The post holder does not need to work usual office hours eg we may be able to accommodate some later starts or weekend work to suit other commitments. Please talk to us about your requirements.

Ottery St Mary is a market town on the Eastern fringes of Exeter and is easily accessible from the A30. Our premises are fully accessible and purpose built with good staff facilities and off site car parking close by.
